AUSTIN, Texas - No. 3 Texas took down No.8 Minnesota in straight sets 3-0; 25-22, 29-27, 35-33 on Wednesday night in a rowdy Gregory Gym to remain undefeated in the young season.
Texas trailed 24-20 in the second set, and senior Micaya White, who got the side-out kill, step up to the service line to tally three-straight points from the end line, and tied the match at 24's. from there, the two squads battled back and forth until White and Logan Eggleston record back-to-back kills to win the set.
In the third set, Texas trailed the whole set, until the team was able to tie the match at 17-17 on kills from Molly Phillips and Skylar Fields, and then the rookie duo combined for a block to tie the match.
