The Longhorns’ sixth-year offensive lineman has persevered to get to second career Allstate Sugar Bowl.
NEW ORLEANS – Only one current Texas Football player holds the distinction of also being a member of the 2018 team that played in the Allstate Sugar Bowl, defeating Georgia 28-21. That player is sixth-year offensive lineman Christian Jones.
Jones redshirted during his first season on the Forty Acres and didn't play in the game. Now five years later and with 47 career starts under his belt he figures to make a significant contribution when Texas Football plays in its first College Football Playoff in program history on New Year's Day.
