SAN MARCOS, Texas – No. 3 Texas Baseball extended its winning streak to 14 games with a 5-1 win over Texas State on Tuesday at Bobcat Ballpark.
The Longhorns (31-8) were led by Pete Hansen on the mound, who pitched 8.1 innings and allowed one run on three hits with four strikeouts. Hansen retired the final 17 batters he faced after getting a double play to end the third inning.
Aaron Nixon finished off the final two batters of the game, finishing of six perfect innings pitched to end the ballgame.
