No. 23 Baseball drops series opener to Washington

AUSTIN, Texas – No. 23 Texas Baseball took a 3-1 lead to the seventh but were unable to hold onto it and dropped the series opener 9-3 to Washington on Friday night at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.

The Longhorns (10-7) will look to bounce back in the second game of the series on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.

Lebarron Johnson pitched six innings and allowed just one run on five hits, striking out a season-high 10 batters. He left with a 3-1 lead and was in line for his second win of the season before the big seventh inning.
