No. 23 Baseball blasts Purdue 13-6 in Game 1 of doubleheader

AUSTIN, Texas – Behind a trio of homers, No. 23 Texas Baseball cruised to a 13-6 win over Purdue in Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.

The Longhorns dug themselves an early hole as Purdue started the scoring on Saturday with three runs in the top of the first inning.

Blair Henley bounced back in the second inning though, quickly retiring the Boilermakers in order with one strikeout. He finished with 6 2/3 innings pitched and four strikeouts, earning his first win of the season.

The Longhorn bats came alive in the bottom of the second, blasting two homers and scoring seven runs in the inning.
