AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Football's Vernon Broughton and Quintrevion Wisner earned weekly honors from the Southeastern Conference (SEC), the conference office announced Monday. Broughton was named Co-Defensive Player of the Week and Wisner claimed Co-Offensive Player of the Week. It's the first career weekly honors for both.
The Longhorns have collected 15 SEC weekly accolades by 11 different players this season.
The duo played essential roles in Texas' 17-7 win at No. 20/19/20 Texas A&M on Nov. 30, which clinched the Horns an SEC Championship Game berth.
