AUSTIN, Texas – No. 22 Baseball scored six runs in the fifth inning and cruised to a 10-3 win over Sam Houston State on Tuesday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
Ty Madden came out of the bullpen in the fifth and pitched four innings, striking out seven batters and allowing just one run on three hits. He picked up his first career win.
The Longhorns dug themselves an early 3-0 hole after Sam Houston scored two runs in the third and one run in the fifth. Matteo Bocchi made his first start of the season and allowed two runs on four hits in four innings pitched.
