LAWRENCE, Kan. — Senior Courtney Ramey registered a team-high 18 points, but No. 21/21 Texas (21-10, 10-8 Big 12) dropped a hard-fought 70-63 decision in overtime to No. 6/7 Kansas (25-6, 14-4 Big 12) on Saturday afternoon at Allen Fieldhouse. The Longhorns were attempting to become the first team to defeat the Jayhawks on Senior Day at Allen Fieldhouse since the 1983-84 season.
Texas held the Jayhawks, who entered the game averaging 78.9 points per game on 48.6-percent field goal shooting, to 57 points in regulation. The Longhorns limited Kansas to 31-percent field goal shooting (18-58) on the afternoon.
