AUSTIN, Texas – A pair of Longhorns have earned league accolades following a stellar week that saw No. 21 Texas soccer (2-0-1) tie No. 4 North Carolina and defeat No. 23 UCF as junior forward Cyera Hintzen reaped Big 12 Conference Offensive Player of the Week and junior goalkeeper Nicole Curry received Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week honors.
For Hintzen, this marks the fourth time she's been honored as the conference's offensive standout of the week, while Curry picked up her second career league defensive nod.
A 2018 watch list inclusion for the prestigious MAC Hermann Trophy, Hintzen powered the Longhorns offense last week by scoring all three Texas goals against a pair of nationally-ranked teams.
