LAWRENCE, Kansas – For the sixth time in her collegiate soccer career, Trinity Byars recorded a brace — two-goal performance — as the Longhorns traveled to the Sunflower State and knocked off Kansas, 2-1, on Sunday afternoon.
It took the entire 45-minute first half and then an additional 11 minutes before either team broke through in the goal column as Trinity Byars netted her 12th on the season after taking a loose pass from Kansas' goalkeeper in the 18-yard box and burying it to push the Longhorns ahead.
20 minutes later, Byars was credited with her second brace of the season as the junior forward took a final-third pass from Lexi Missimo and Liz Worden and put it into the back of the net.
