AUSTIN, Texas – No. 20 Texas Baseball's Lucas Gordon was named the Big 12 Conference Pitcher of the Year and a total of eight Longhorn players were recognized for their play this season, the league office announced Tuesday.
Gordon has compiled a 2.48 ERA and a 6-1 record in 14 starts this season. He has struck out 85 batters in 83.1 innings pitched and held opposing hitters to a .210 average. Gordon is the second Longhorn in the last three years to be named Big 12 Pitcher of the Year and the eighth overall.
