AUSTIN, Texas – Senior Brooke McCarty moved to fourth on the all-time three pointers made list (195), passing Jamie Carey, as No. 2 Texas Women's Basketball (6-0) defeated Louisiana Tech (4-3), 88-54, at the Frank Erwin Center Thursday night.
McCarty posted a career high of five steals, while dishing out five assists. She also led all scorers with 15 points, on 6-10 shooting and a 3-of-5 clip from beyond the arc.
Junior Lashann Higgs, Sophomore Sug Sutton and Junior Olamide Aborowa joined McCarty in the double-figure ranks. Higgs contributed 13 points on 6-8 shooting as well as three rebounds and four assists.
