AUSTIN, Texas – No. 2 Texas Volleyball pulled off a reverse sweep over No. 15 Washington, 19-25, 20-25, 25-22, 25-9, 15-9, in the NCAA Regional Semifinal on Thursday night at Gregory Gymnasium.
The Longhorns (27-1) will play in the Austin Regional Final on Saturday at 9 p.m. against the winner of the match between No. 10 Nebraska and Illinois. This will be Texas' 15th NCAA Regional Final in the last 16 seasons.
Texas finished the match outhitting Washington .346 to .211 and out-blocking the Huskies 12-9. After hitting just .222 in the first set, the Longhorns picked it up in the second but still came up short.
