MT. PLEASANT, S.C. – No. 2 Texas Baseball was unable to overcome a five-run first inning and lost to College of Charleston, 8-4, on Tuesday at College of Charleston Baseball Stadium at Patriot's Point.
Murphy Stehly went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI to lead the Longhorns offensively. Ivan Melendez, Silas Ardoin and Mitchell Daly all finished with two hits apiece.
College of Charleston opened the game with a five spot in the first inning, hitting a grand slam out to left and a solo homer to right.
