No. 2 Baseball drops series in extra-innings

LUBBOCK, Texas – No. 2 Texas Baseball lost it's second-consecutive extra-inning game, 16-12, in the 10th to No. 16 Texas Tech on Saturday at Rip Griffin Park.

Texas Tech hit a walk-off three-run homer in the bottom of the 10th to clinch the series win.

Ivan Melendez and Murphy Stehly were a combined 10-for-10 with four homers, two doubles, seven RBI and seven runs scored in the game. Melendez was 5-for-5 with two homers and three RBI, while Stehly was 5-for-5 with two homers, two doubles and four RBI.
