No. 19 Women’s Basketball rolls past Lamar, 77-49

AUSTIN, Texas – In a match-up that saw the Longhorns limited to a pre-game roster of just eight available players because of various maladies, No. 19 Texas (7-1) shot 52.6% from the floor and got double-doubles from junior forward/center Charli Collier and freshman forward DeYona Gaston in powering past Lamar (1-7), 77-49.

Collier led the offensive charge with her fifth double-double of the season and 21st of her illustrious career by putting up a team-high 28 points (19 in the first half) and 13 rebounds. Gaston managed her first career double-double with 18 points and 10 boards, while junior guard Joanne Allen-Taylor stretched her career-long double-figure scoring streak to seven straight games with 12 points against the Cardinals.
