WACO, Texas – No. 19 Texas Baseball gave up five runs in the ninth inning to lose to Baylor 10-9 on Saturday at Baylor Ballpark.
The Longhorns (25-12, 7-4) will look to bounce back and take the series on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Heston Tole was outstanding in relief after being called into the game in the bottom of the first inning. He pitched a season-high 4.2 scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and was in line for hist first Texas win before Baylor's big ninth inning.
The Longhorns put up a four-run top of the first on a slew of hits to grab a 4-0 lead.
