AUSTIN, Texas — Graduate guard Max Abmas recorded a team-high 19 points and sophomore forward Dillon Mitchell added a double-double with 14 points and a game-high 11 rebounds to pace No. 18/18 Texas (2-0) to an 86-59 win against Delaware State (0-2) on Friday night at Moody Center. The Longhorns converted 52.8-percent (28-53) from the floor, including 54.5-percent (12-22) from three-point range, and 85.7-percent (18-21) from the free throw line in the victory.
Abmas hit 6-of-12 field goals, including 4-of-8 from three-point range, and 3-of-3 free throws and added five assists and one steal in 35 minutes.
