Only hours after Thanksgiving, the No. 17 Texas Longhorns (5-2, 4-2) and the No. 13 Iowa State Cyclones (6-2, 6-1) will take the field for a game with massive implications at stake, as the winner will have a much clearer path to the Big 12 conference championship game.
Both Texas and Iowa State enter riding three-game winning streaks, with Texas coming out on top of semi-recent meetings with Baylor, No. 6 Oklahoma State, and West Virginia, while, the Cyclones boast recent wins over Kansas, Baylor, and Kansas State.
On Friday, one of those winning streaks will end, and likely so too will the losing teams conference title hopes.
