AUSTIN, Texas – No. 16 Texas Baseball completed the weekend series shutout of Cal Poly with a 7-0 win on Sunday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. The three-straight shutouts are the first by Texas since 2015 against Minnesota and the series sweep is the first since 2002 against UT Pan American.
The Longhorns (6-1) did not allow a run in the three-game series with great starting pitching by Lebarron Johnson Jr., Charlie Hurley and Cody Howard and outstanding work from the bullpen.
Cody Howard pitched five scoreless innings in his first career start on Sunday to pick up the win.
