SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. – The No. 15 Texas women's golf team shot a 9-over 297 and is in seventh place after the first round of the NCAA Louisville Regional at the University of Louisville Golf Club on Monday.
Texas was paced by an even-par performance from senior Kaitlyn Papp, who is tied for 11th following the opening round of play. With the Longhorns starting on the 10th tee, Papp recorded bogies on 12th and 15th holes, but settled in from there with a par or better through the rest of the round, including birdies on the 17th and fourth holes.
