HUTCHINSON, Kansas – No. 14 Texas Men's Golf won its fifth-straight Big 12 Championship on Wednesday, defeating four teams ranked in the GolfStat top-13 at Prairie Dunes Country Club.
The Longhorns clawed back from a six-shot deficit during the fourth round to clinch their eighth Big 12 title and 40 conference title overall.
Juniors Scottie Scheffler and Doug Ghim earned runner-up honors for Texas, finishing 8-over par to finish one stroke out of the lead.
Ghim climbed four spots on the third day with an even 70, making three birdies, including two on the last two holes to propel the Longhorns in the final holes.
