AUSTIN, Texas – No. 14 Texas Baseball dropped the series against Oklahoma with a 9-6 loss in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
The Longhorns (27-14, 8-6) and Sooners will finish the series in the backend of the doubleheader on Saturday night.
Chase Lummus was outstanding out of the bullpen and gave the Longhorns a chance. He pitched a career-high five innings and allowed only one run, while striking out five batters.
The Longhorns dug themselves a big hole, giving up five runs in the second inning on four walks and just two hits.
