No. 14 Baseball drops Game 1 of Oklahoma series

AUSTIN, Texas – No. 14 Texas Baseball fell 2-1 in the first game of the series against Oklahoma on Friday night at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.

Lucas Gordon started against the Sooners and pitched seven stellar innings. He allowed only one run on six hits and tied his season high with nine strikeouts.

Garret Guillemette went 2-for-3 with one run scored to lead the Longhorns offensively. Porter Brown finished 2-for-4 and had a hit in the ninth but was stranded at second to end the game.

The Longhorns got on the board first with a bases-loaded RBI walk to Mitchell Daly in the bottom of the second to make the score 1-0.
