FORT WORTH, Texas – Junior Ariel Atkins led all scorers with 17 points as No. 12/13 Texas Women's Basketball (15-4, 9-0 Big 12 Conference) triumphed over TCU (10-10, 2-6 Big 12 Conference) inside the Schollmaier Arena on Wednesday night, 77-69.
Texas leads the all-times series over TCU, 40-2, and holds a 19-2 mark when the game is played in Fort Worth.
Atkins totaled 17 points behind a career-high tying three triples while also padding her stats with four rebounds and a game-high three steals. Freshman Joyner Holmes marked her third-straight double dip with 15 points and a game-high 14 boards.
