AUSTIN, Texas—Junior guard/forward Joyner Holmes scored a team high 16 points, but The University of Texas Women's Basketball team (17-4, 7-2 Big 12) was defeated by West Virginia (15-5, 6-3 Big 12), 64-58, on Monday night at the Frank Erwin Center. Holmes converted on 6-of-15 from the floor while also chipping in six rebounds and two steals in 23 minutes.
Senior forward Jatarie White scored 15 points, on 6-of-7 shooting from the field, and also pulled down eight rebounds, while junior guard Sug Sutton recorded 13 points, eight rebounds and four assists.
