AUSTIN, Texas – The No. 12 Texas men's track and field program took to Mike A. Myers Stadium for the first day of the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
It was a day of three personal bests for Leo Neugebauer as he finished the first five events with a 21-point lead over Kyle Garland of Georgia.
The five-time All American began his decathlon run setting a new personal best in the 100-meter dash with his time of 10.61 seconds. Neugebauer's time was the fastest in the field of 24. He later finished third in the long jump with an outdoor personal-best jump of 7.
