Austin – No. 11/10 Texas (17-2, 4-2) took down Kansas (9-8, 2-4) 91-56 on Tuesday at Moody Center.
The Longhorns got off to a hot start against the Jayhawks, finishing the first quarter with a 25-12 lead off of 71.4 percent shooting from the field. Freshman Aaliyah Moore set the tone early shooting 4-4 in the quarter and forcing Kansas into a timeout after drilling a midrange jump shot at the 2:07 marker to give the Horns a 20-10 lead. Senior Shay Holle added to the lead with a 3 pointer directly in front of the Kansas bench off of the freshman Madison Booker assist, and freshman Khadija Faye capped off the quarter with a jumper of her own off of another Booker assist.
