AUSTIN, Texas – While it may have been the Texas A&M Aggies who touched home plate first during Sunday evening's game, but it was the Texas Longhorns who were holding the NCAA Super Regional championship trophy following their 6-5 win at Red & Charline McCombs Field.
Looking to rally from a 1-0 deficit as the game moved to the bottom of the third, Bella Dayton sent a 1-0 pitch to right field for a one-out double. She advanced to third when Aggie second baseman Rylen Wiggins couldn't cleanly field a grounder off the bat of Ashton Maloney.
