AUSTIN, Texas – On Thursday night in front of 1,086 fans at Red & Charline McCombs Field, No. 11 Texas softball (36-10, 7-4 Big 12 Conference) tried to rally late, but ultimately couldn't dig out of a three-run hole as the Longhorns dropped their series opener to No. 1 Oklahoma (39-2, 10-0 Big 12 Conference), 3-1.

- Sophomore catcher Mary Iakopo continued her recent hot streak at the plate by going 3-for-3 with a double to lift her average over the last eight Texas games to .500 (11-for-22). Over that eight-game stretch, she has nine runs scored, a double, four HR's and nine RBIs.
