AUSTIN, TX – Of the 68 pitches thrown by two Texas pitchers during the Longhorns' 13-2 five-inning win over Stephen F. Austin on Wednesday night, only one hindered what could've been a perfect night for the home team.
With two outs in the top of the third and Texas leading by nine runs, a 3-2 pitch was thrown and then sent over the left-centerfield fence for a two-run home run to cut the Longhorn. But, as any head coach would want, Mike White's squad responded an inning later with a four-run bottom of the fourth that was highlighted by a two-out, two-run pinch-run home run by Jordyn Whitaker.
