No. 10/10 Women’s Basketball’s defense carries Longhorns to 70-49 win over No. 24/25 West Virginia

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The No. 10/10 Texas women's basketball held West Virginia to 26.7 percent shooting and came away with a 70-49 win on Saturday at the WVU Coliseum.

Madison Booker scored 15 points and grabbed a season-high 12 rebounds for her first collegiate double-double. Booker added seven assists.

Shaylee Gonzales recorded 15 points as she made 3-of-6 from beyond the 3-point arc. Aaliyah Moore scored 12 points and added five rebounds. Taylor Jones and Khadija Faye added eight points each.

The Longhorns used a 10-3 run in the second quarter to go up 37-22 and took a 37-25 lead into halftime.
