AUSTIN, Texas – No. 1 Texas Volleyball's Skylar Fields has been named the AVCA National Player of the Week, the organization announced Tuesday.
This recognition comes after Fields was already named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week award for the second time this season.
Fields had an outstanding start to start Big 12 Conference play, averaging 5.17 kills per set and hitting .537 in back-to-back sweeps of West Virginia. She finished with 31 total kills over the two matches, including 16 kills with no errors and a .593 hitting percentage in the first match.
