ATHENS, Ga. – The No. 1 Texas Men's Swim and Dive program brought home five medals while Rex Maurer and Luke Hobson destroyed several meet and pool records on the third day of the SEC Championships Thursday at Gabrielsen Natatorium. In addition, the Longhorns firmly hold a staggering lead through 22 events at the SEC Championships.
Texas maintains its lead with 827.5 total points followed by Florida (2nd-714), Tennessee (3rd-526.5), Georgia (4th-463), Texas A&M (5th-377), Alabama (6th-329), Auburn (7th-308), LSU (8th-295), Kentucky (9th-231), South Carolina (10th-164) and Missouri (11th-157).
Rex Maurer kicked off the night with a victory in the 400 IM in an SEC Championships record time of 3:35.
