GREENSBORO, N.C. — The No. 1 University of Texas Men's Swimming and Diving team captured the 800-yard freestyle relay to hold the lead after Wednesday's opening night of the four-day NCAA Championship meet at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. UT's quartet of junior Drew Kibler, senior Austin Katz, freshman Carson Foster and senior Jake Sannem registered a time of 6:07.25 in the lone event contested on Wednesday.
Kibler opened the relay with an impressive effort of 1:30.65 in his leadoff leg, while Katz followed with a split of 1:33.
