ATHENS, Ga. – Rex Maurer lowered the pool record in the 500 freestyle and the No. 1 Texas Longhorns brought home four medals on the second day of the 2025 SEC Championships Wednesday night at Gabrielsen Natatorium. Texas remains in control through 14 events with 505 total points.
Florida is in second with 421.5 points followed by Tennessee (3rd-327.5), Georgia (4th-309). Texas A&M (5th-264), LSU (6th-237), Alabama (7th-225), Auburn (8th-199), Kentucky (9th-176), South Carolina (10th-152) and Missouri (11th-128).
Commencing the evening finals session, Texas' 200 free relay team of Chris Guiliano, Kyle Peck, Hubert Kos and Will Modglin finished third in 1:14.
