ATHENS, Ga. – No. 1 Texas Men's Swim and Dive possesses the early lead at the SEC Championships Tuesday night after breaking the American and school record in the 800 freestyle relay and setting a new school record in the 200 medley relay.
Texas holds the lead at the SEC Championships after accumulating 176 total points through six events. UT is ahead of Georgia (2nd-158), Tennessee (3rd-153.5), Florida (4th-152), LSU (5th-132), Alabama (6th-118), Texas A&M (7th-111), South Carolina (8th-110), Kentucky (9th-102), Auburn (10th-63) and Missouri (11th-62.5).
The Longhorns began the night with a third-place finish in the 200 medley relay (Will Modglin, Nate Germonprez, Hubert Kós and Chris Guiliano), clocking in a school-record time of 1:20.
