TRINITY, Texas – No. 1 Texas Men's Golf and junior Beau Hossler lead the Big 12 Championship after the first two rounds on Friday at Whispering Pines Golf Course.
The Longhorns shot a first-round 292 and followed with a 293 to finish 9-over par, seven strokes ahead of runner-up Oklahoma State.
As a team, Texas led the field with 35 birdies and led par-5 scoring with a 4.80 average (-8). The Horns were the only team to post at least one sub-par round in each round.
Hossler finished the day 2-under par to share the 36-hole lead with TCU's Paul Barjon.
