Earl Thomas, the Super Bowl winning safety from the Seattle Seahawks, ranked exactly #30 in the latest batch of rankings released by NFL Network this week.
According to NFL Network, Thomas jumped all the way up from #66 last year.
It seems odd, though. Thomas ranked #66 last year after making his fifth consecutive Pro Bowl. Then, he suffered his first major pro football injury and missed five games at the end of the 2016 regular season. But, he jumped 36 spots in this year’s rankings.
Apparently, it was a case of Earl Thomas’ greatness taken for granted when he was healthy.
