The 2019 NFL Draft was not the friendliest to the cause of the Texas Longhorns football program. But, that feeling of on-field results, or lack thereof, translating to the drop-off in early round selections in the NFL Draft has to be one that fans of the Texas football program are getting used to of late. Former Texas wideout Lil’Jordan Humphrey was a good example of that.
Most of this disappointment in the NFL Draft is a spillover of the poor results under former head coach Charlie Strong and the end of the Mack Brown-era where the play on the field declined.
