EUGENE, Ore. – Leo Neugebauer finished as the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field runner-up in the men's decathlon with a personal-best score of 8,362 points.
After a historic first day, Neugebauer started the day with a time of 14.67 in the 110m hurdles. He later added the top throw in Flight 1 of the discus at 50.77m174 and then finished with a clearance of 4.81m (15-9.25).
He waited until the javelin for his fifth personal-best mark of the decathlon with a throw of 53.12m (174-3). The All-American finished the day with a personal-best time of 4:42.
