AUSTIN, Texas – A near record-breaking performance by the Longhorns 4x100m relay team and a sensational day for senior sprinter Teahna Daniels highlighted women's competition on day two of the NCAA Track & Field Championships for The University of Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
The Longhorns 4x100m relay team of Kennedy Simon, Daniels, Zola Golden and Kynnedy Flannel sprinted to a time of 42.84 to finish second in their heat and automatically advance to Saturday's final. The 42.84 clocking matched the second-best time in school history and was the fastest 4x100m relay for the Longhorns in 14 years (since 2006).
