One thing you can count on from the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee is making teams upset.
On Sunday, the Committee snubbed Texas Baseball as a Regional Host site despite a Top 16 RPI Ranking.
On Monday, the committee sent the Longhorns to Long Beach, Calif. – instead of staying locally in Houston – to a regional that includes all California schools.
Also, the committee paired up Texas with UCLA in the first game of the regional. Texas already played UCLA this season and swept the Bruins in Austin.
Furthermore, if Texas wins the Long Beach Regional, they would be paired up with Stanford in the Super Regionals.
