The Dallas Cowboys selected Texas offensive lineman Connor Williams with their second-round draft choice (50th overall) Friday night. Here is a sampling of national reaction about the pick.
What they're saying about Connor Williams
Sports Illustrated's Bruce Feldman: A former three-star recruit, Williams won the starting left tackle job as a freshman and in 2016 became the first Texas sophomore to receive first-team All-America honors since Earl Thomas in 2009. A knee injury ended his junior year in September, and he played for three O-line coaches in three seasons in Austin, but in a few months he will become the first Texas O-lineman drafted since '08.
