AUSTIN -- It wasn't pretty, and it certainly won't do Texas coach Tom Herman any favors in the court of public opinion, but the Longhorns took care of business in their home opener on Saturday night and defeated Tulsa, 28-21. Texas simply could not afford to lose this one after its crushing loss to Maryland to open the season a week ago. The Longhorns, however, didn't exactly provide many answers on Saturday to a lot of lingering questions about this team.
Texas let Tulsa creep back into the game in the second half after holding a 21-0 lead at halftime.
