AUSTIN -- No. 15 Texas handled No. 16 Iowa State on Saturday, 24-10, to win on senior night -- which also happened to be the 500th game in Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium history.
The Longhorns (8-3, 6-2 Big 12) also received a boost before kickoff when Oklahoma State upset No. 9 West Virginia in Stillwater. Texas once again controls its own destiny and just needs to beat Kansas in the regular season finale on Friday in Lawrence to make the Big 12 title game at AT&T Stadium on Dec. 1.
