Austin, Texas – The Texas Men's Tennis Team rose to the No. 1 position in team rankings and had six individual listings, including four in singles and two doubles pairs, in the latest Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Rankings released Tuesday by the ITA.
It marks the first time the Longhorns have reached the top spot in the rankings in program history based on available records. Texas had been ranked as high as No. 2 in 2009.
Texas is the only team in the nation with two singles players ranked in the top 10. In having a doubles pair also ranked in the top 10, the singles mark would have to be expanded to the top 30 to find any other teams (No.
