PARIS, France — Rising University of Texas junior Hubert Kos of Hungary earned the gold medal in the 200-meter backstroke final on Thursday evening at the Paris Olympic Games inside Paris La Defense Arena. In addition, former Longhorn Carson Foster qualified for the final of the 200-meter individual medley.
Texas Men's Swimming has now earned a total of seven medals (one gold, three silver, three bronze) through the first six days of competition at the Paris Games. Former Longhorn Caspar Corbeau earned bronze in the 200 breast on Wednesday. The trio of rising senior Luke Hobson and former Longhorns Carson Foster and Drew Kibler won silver in the 4x200 free relay on Tuesday.
