Men’s Swim and Dive sets school records in 200 medley and 800 freestyle relays, sits in first following opening night

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – Texas Men's Swimming and Diving utilized a victory in the 200 medley relay and a runner-up finish in the 800 freestyle relay to take the early lead on the opening night of the 2025 NCAA Championships at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center on Wednesday. Texas has compiled 74 total points through two events, leading second-place California (72) by two points.

The Longhorns initiated the national meet with a new program record in the 200 medley relay after winning the event in 1:20.28. The quartet of Will Modglin, Nate Germonprez, Hubert Kós and Chris Guiliano combined for the victory after Florida was disqualified for an early takeoff.
