The Longhorns have totaled 190 points to remain in first, followed by second-place California (159.5) and third-place Indiana (146).
American record holder and Texas sophomore Rex Maurer commenced Thursday's finals session with an NCAA title in the 500 freestyle, touching the wall in 4:05.35, claiming his first career individual NCAA title and Texas' first individual crown of the national meet. The Horns went 1-2 in the event as senior Luke Hobson finished runner-up in a personal-best time of 4:06.
